"PERFECTOS MENTIROSOS"

"Perfectos Mentirosos" is the first book of the bilogy by Alex Mírez. The author is a Venezuelan writer who is twenty-five years old. One day she discovered the app named Wattpad and since then she hasn't stopped writing stories. She was born on October 16^th, 1994, in Caracas, Venezuela.

She graduated in Tourism Services, but currently she is devoted to reading, to fight against a wave of ideas and to read as many books as she can. She is a film-lover and a gamer, and she claims that everyone in life makes mistakes that are worth telling so as not to repeat them. She writes in a very powerful style, which makes you cry, laugh and even develop many other feelings. She perfectly describes the environment in which the story is located as well as each character’s personality, their feelings and fears.

The novel was originally going to be a single book, as it is usually done on the Wattpad platform, but due to its long length and the addition of new chapters that can only be found in physical books, the writer and the publisher agreed that it would be two volumes, as Alex Mírez herself revealed on her social networks. The first book is called "Mentiras y Secretos" and the second one  "Peligros y Verdades".

This story is about a girl named Jude Derry, who goes to the famous Tagus University. When she arrives there, not only does she study, but also she unveils the dark secrets of the Cash siblings. The three brothers are so cunning, attractive and powerful that everybody wants to please them. Jude will have a very important role revealing their secrets. Once she is there, she discovers that none is real, that everyone lies including the one who she thinks she is in love with, Adrik Cash.

Adrik is such a mysterious and shy boy that, at first, he doesn't realize he likes Jude but then he falls in love with her. He loves reading as well as being alone, but he has a bad addiction to smoking. Besides, he is really attached to his cousin Melanie, who is "dead".

Regan Cash is another brother from the Cash's family, who only visits them twice a year. He comes back in the middle of the first book. An event which the three siblings aren’t happy about happened a long time ago.

In order to unveil the Cash's secrets, Jude gets into a "relationship" with Aegan Cash, the eldest brother. Aegan is fond of poker, women and money, as well as he is interested in the powerful attraction of his surname, Cash. However, he has an interesting plot twist in this story - he can seem egocentric and the villain, but he grows as a person and changes for the better, which eventually makes him get hurt. He will do his best to keep his name and his family safe and not to stain his family name because of Jude or, at least, he will try to.

The third and youngest sibling, Aleixandre Cash, is very extrovert and easy-going, he likes talking with people, he is a nice boy who always helps Jude when she needs some hints about their secrets. He always pleases his oldest brother Aegan Cash, whom he admires, whereas Adrik is always challenging him. However, don’t be fooled by this character, since he is so intelligent that he is also able to keep many secrets.

Jude’s approach to all these secrets and the way she unveils them is admirable. Jude is not the typical girl who every guy falls in love with. Her strategy and intelligence helps her to find revenge and discover the truth in honor of his brother, who eventually she isn’t sure to know at all.

At the end of the second book, we can realize that not every villain is so bad that he can´t change, that love exists among different people and we can guess  that hating each other at first doesn't mean they can´t get along in the future, help each other or even fall in love. This story has changed many people’s opinions on these matters. At first, you can hate some characters, but you will end up loving them, or vice versa.
